<p>We are taking lag corrected cutting &amp; gas samples. Our experienced personnel will process (cleaning, sieving) the cutting samples as per instruction of our client. A proper and detailed lithological description will be done and entered into our geological database to create logs. Special processing of cuttings for the determination of calcite/dolomite ratio, cutting density determination and further chemical analysis methods (including alizarin red &amp; sulfate test kit, UV luminescence of cuttings and oil, oil extraction with detergents) are part of our standard services.</p>

<p>We offer a broad range of sensors &amp; equipment to monitor all surface related technical parameters (including pressures, torques, revolutions, weights, fluid levels, temperatures, pH of mud, mudweights, conductivity of mud). Most sensors are Ex-rated and can be used in Zone 1 (Ex i, Ex e). Beside data acquisition with own sensors, we are able to receive and process most sensor signals from the drilling rigs itself (modbus TCP-IP, SPS S7, WITS, 4-20mA and others). GEO-data is able to provide mudlogging containers (non-pressurized and pressurized) from 3m up to 9m length, which are equipped with a data acquisition &amp; processing system. The interior is designed (6m and 9m container) to provide a safe and ergonomical working space for our field service personnel with a sample preparation area, sample description area and place for computers and other devices (including GC-FID, alarm panels).</p>

<p>One of the most important tasks carried out by GEO-data&#8217;s mudlogging service is the continuous measurement of different gases, especially the monitoring of drilling fluid gases. This is carried out by extracting gas from the drilling fluid and passing it through a series of gas detection instruments, which provides detailed analysis of the extracted sample. Any gas detection system is dependent on the efficiency and reliability of the gas trap to remove the gas from the drilling fluid. GEO-data offers an enhanced design of a standard degasser and a constant volume degasser (CVD) according to your requirements. Beyond that, we are manufacturing our own GCs based on flame ionization detection (FID) for reliable hydrocarbon detection.</p>

<p>Our Drilling Monitoring System (DMS) is able to acquire, process and display most data which are available on a rig site: drilling related technical data, pit &amp; pump data, fluid/mud data, geological &amp; geochemical data, reporting system/costs, ambient gas/mudgas data, MWD/LWD &amp; wire line data, cementing data, and hydraulic &amp; performance data. We are able to acquire data from the rig data system itself (including OPC modbus, TCP/IP, WITS, 4-20mA signals) and integrate these data seamlessly into our own independent measuring sensor setup. Furthermore we are able to integrate WitsML data into our depth-based database.</p>

<p>Data acquisition and recording of all surface parameters and sampling of rock cuttings is the base of mudlogging. A drilling fluid gas monitoring service and other measurements can be deployed if requested. If further on-site processing is required, our Drilling-Monitoring-System with an extensive software suite is available. Lag corrected sample recovery, sample preparation and processing, lithological analysis and the stratigraphic field classifications of the samples are fundamental for the geological understanding and are part of our final documentation. Further possible tests include oil show classification by UV light and oil cut, automated analysis of the calcite/dolomite ratio (calcimetry with GEOCalcit<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />), determination of cutting/shale density, sulfate testing, micro fossil preparation, and caving monitoring.</p>

<p>The core of our services is our team of highly experienced and qualified mudlogging engineers. The role of a mudlogger is demanding, requiring comprehensive understanding of the entire drilling process, which our clients expect as standard. Beyond technical expertise, our mudloggers are experienced in lithological description, formation evaluation, and interpretation of all surface parameters related to rig operations. Our staff undergoes professional training both in-house and externally, including dedicated HSE&amp;Q training, IWCF training at the German school of drillmasters, specialized courses for pore pressure evaluation, and IWCF level 2 certification. According to project and client demands, we provide mudlogging engineers, data engineers, sample catchers, geo lab assistants, geo technicians, certified geologists, logging engineers, geosteering geologists, wellsite geologists, OPS geologists, assistant drilling technicians (ADT), and pressure evaluation engineers. Our personnel have the qualification and field experience necessary for demanding on- and offshore operations worldwide.</p>

<p>The MGIL technique delivers detailed downhole isotopic logging that provides geoscientists with unprecedented geochemical perspective on geological environments and information about hydrocarbon sources and accumulation history. Stable carbon isotopes provide critical additional data for identifying exploration targets, selecting frac and completion zones, monitoring production allocation to optimize well performance, and determining maturity and type of hydrocarbon kitchen. For environmental monitoring, MGIL helps identify possible leakage zones, classify gas in aquifers, and provide preservation of evidence. The technique is inexpensive, easily accommodated on drilling rigs, and samples the same gas stream used for conventional mud gas analysis using existing mudlogging equipment. Gas samples are collected using IsoTubes or other gas-tight vessels from the mudlogging gas flow line. MGIL maximizes information obtained from each well and assists in developing accurate exploration and production prognoses by correlating isotope-geochemical data with productive well data, making it invaluable for both conventional wells and unconventional plays like shale gas.</p>

Parameter compositions and resolutions can be saved as templates for quick access. Our comprehensive gas detection systems deliver 24/7 surveillance at active drill sites with immediate visual and audible warning signals.
